Personally, I am someone who very rarely decides to pre-order a game. I am always frightened of that crushing disappointment when you realise the hype leading up to the release was all for nothing. My best example of this situation would probably be the time that I pre-ordered Tom Clancy’s EndWar.
Now, thankfully, Steam has added an option for players to cancel any existing pre-orders that they have with the service without having to open a support ticket or anything else of the same ilk.
If you felt like cancelling a pre-order on Steam in the past, you had to go through the process of contacting Steam support and taking it from there. If you look at the image above you can see the new “Refund an item” option available on Steam. Whichever way you look at it, it is far more convenient than it was before. [Polygon]
