Ubisoft have just announced a 2D side-scrolling platformer game called Child of Light. The game is currently set for a 2014 release and will be powered with Rayman Legends’ UbiArt Framework Engine. You can find out about the inspiration for the game by reading up on the Ubisoft Blog.
Throughout the game you will control a female protaginist who goes by the name of Aurora, as she makes her way though the land of Lemuria. You will control her on her quest to find sources of power and ultimately defeat her main enemy, ‘The Black Queen’.
The game will also allow a second player to join in on the action. The second player will take control of a magical orb named Igniculus who guides Aurora on her travels. Either way, judging from the video below, the game is looking very interesting and can be expected to arrive on the PC, PS4, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbone sometime in 2014.
