Google is planning to start charging users of YouTube to view new ‘premium’ content. Current videos will remain free unless the creators want to charge.
At the moment the plan is to charge users monthly, similarly to Netflix and Love Film although the cost is estimated to be between 60p and £3.50. This is cheaper than other online film and TV services, if Google can secure good content then many users might jump-ship and leave their current service. What do you think about this issue?
