Apple Sold Over 2 Million iPhone 5’s in China, in 3 Days

Dear god, what’s this?  Good news about Apple?  Something that’s been hard to come by recently.  Over 2 million iPhone 5’s were sold in the first weekend of the product going on sale…  That’s a lot.

It had been reported that Apple’s sales in Asia were not good, something that had contributed to the decrease in Apple’s share price, wiping 5% off the value of the company.  Clearly this isn’t true, 2 million units in 3 days is a serious amount for any corporation.

“Customer response to iPhone 5 in China has been incredible, setting a new record with the best first weekend sales ever in China,” said Tim Cook.  Clearly the Chinese really like iPhone’s.  Interesting considering the 4S has been outselling the 5 in Europe. [cnn]
