Wii U: Not Up To Scratch

Nintendo’s new console, is now officially out in the US, and the inevitable has been reported…

…a number of complaints have been made regarding the console’s performance and visual quality.  For a start, the console is struggling to render the games that have no issues what so ever when running on the 360 and PS3.

So, unsurprisingly, there are a number of games that, while scheduled for release on 360 and PS3, won’t be heading for the Wii U.  All due to the gap in the processing power of the consoles.

One of the games not making it to the console is Metro: First Light. Chief Technical Officer for the game, Oles Shishkovtsov spoke out, saying that the Wii U suffered from a “slow” and “horrible” CPU.  It’s sad, because the Wii U could have added a new layer to gameplay, with its dual screen functionality.

How are issues like this going to affect the console’s sales in the future? Will you be buying one? [NowGamer]
